Archbishop Desmond Tutu (© WENN)Archbishop Desmond Tutu would rather go to hell than to a homophobic heaven. The iconic South African churchman hasn't lost any of the fire in his belly when it comes to freedom fighting, despite his retirement, and is still a vocal campaigner for gay equality in Africa. Speaking at the launch of a United Nations' gay rights campaign in Cape Town, Tutu said he "would not worship a God who is homophobic," adding that you could count him out of paradise if it had an anti-gay bias. "I would much rather go to the other place," he said. He went on to denounce any faith that discriminated against gay people.  MSN
