Cannibalism is Increasing

Unfortunately Cannibalism cases are rapidly increasing in the world. Perhaps Cannibalism is the ultimate cultural taboo & dilemma of human kind. The menace is not restricted to just a few countries; it is the problem of whole world. Recently, in a shocking case, two brothers in Pakistan’s Punjab province, who were found guilty of cannibalism in 2011, have been caught with the head of young boys Arif and Farman, in a small town of Darya Khan in Bhakkar district; they were first arrested in April 2011 after they were found eating corpses that they stole from a local graveyard. They had reportedly dug up and devoured from up to 150 bodies before they were finally caught.

A police search on April 14 found the head of a 2-year-old boy who had been buried in a nearby grave. The brothers later admitted to digging up the corpse of a child and cooking him in a curry. Both of them are married and have children but their wives abandoned them reportedly when they came to know that their husbands were cannibals and their children got afraid when they came to know the facts.

That is not a first time cannibalism incident occurred in Pakistan, if you look at the history of mankind, you can easily find a number of such horrible incidents. The police arrested those persons under the Anti-Terrorism Act declaring that their action created fear and insecurity among people. It is really shocking that there is no law on cannibalism in Pakistan. I think it is the high time that the world should find out reasons of increasing of cannibalism incidents and take immediate counter action against this disease. PakistanOvserver
