Culture Change: Why is the US Military Getting a Makeover?

Readers of Prophecy Dude often comment about how quickly it seems America is changing. It’s a cultural change, but maybe not just a change, but a shift because it has happened so fast it feels like a jolt.

A simple definition of culture is the shared values, ideals, and aspirations that hold a group or population of people together. It’s where they find definition.

Many Americans don’t like the new definition to which they are waking up. Even for all their disliking it, the cultural shift seems unstoppable.

Did Obama change this nation or did he tap into a dam of inevitability and unleash what was already there? Is he timely in reflecting the accurate heart for where America was already headed? Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Turning to a spiritual perspective helps us to understand this. There is a spirit of lawlessness associated with the end times that is plaguing not just America, but the world. For whatever reason, President Obama sees it as his duty to release this. His position is equal justice for all—everyone should be treated with equal respect and they are deserving of the same rights and benefits of all simply because they are human. He claims that human tendencies and behaviors, no matter how off-center they may be, have full right of expression because if they are human, they are legal and equal. So, a less than 1% behavior or tendency gets 100% freedom of expression and honor.

The Bible defines these behaviors as lawlessness. There is a force behind them—a force bigger than the President of the United States.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work 2 Thessalonians 2:7

Lawlessness is anything that goes counterculture to God, His Word, His principles, and His design. Lawlessness is a spirit of anti-God and it’s prevailing not only in the United States, but in the world.

There are some Christian ministries teaching that things are getting better. That amazes me. Technology is getting better, but social morality is in stark decline. Lawlessness is on the rise, and it’s rising rapidly, until the “man of sin,” the Antichrist, is revealed.

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed… 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8

Up until President Obama, US presidents seemed to reflect the culture and they served to maintain it. This president is actively engaged in changing it. With his appointments, overstepping authority, and executive orders, he is legislating immorality so rapidly that America today is clearly different than it was a year before.

The spirit behind this has garnered a momentum that dissenters and their cries are washed away and drowned. There seems to be no stopping it.

Here’s a secret, a mystery if you will. While changing a nation’s culture, you have to redefine its military. I have always promised to avoid conspiracy theories so I’ll come to the line then leave it there. The American military is getting a make-over.

Then there is the purge of Christianity from the military.

It’s not the man but the influence, or more accurately the spirit, behind the man Obama that is pushing cultural change throughout the world. Satan is working feverishly to have complete control, but just when he thinks he’s got it, Jesus is gonna come busting the Eastern sky.

The culture shift is a sign. In order for the man of sin to usurp his place in history, he needs his platform—lawlessness is building his platform. These are signs of the end times, and aren’t they obvious?
