From News From Jerusalem

In response to rocket fire, overnight the IAF targeted several sites of terror during an extensive operation in the Gaza Strip. Hits were confirmed.

These terror sites were targeted in response to yesterday’s firing of rockets at the city of Be’er Sheva and other Western Negev communities.

Seven rockets have been fired at Israel in this day alone, five of which landed in the Sdot Negev Regional Council and an additional two in Be’er Sheva a short while ago. There were no casualties, but damage was sustained. 58 rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israeli territory since the beginning of 2011.

The IDF will respond harshly  to any attempt to use terror against the State of Israel, and will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens or IDF soldiers. The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in the Gaza Strip and for any terrorist activity emanating from it.

Lieberman says "Israel will not remain indifferent to these acts."
