Mother denies seeing pedophile sex act

A woman accused of pimping her five-year- old son to a pedophile said she never witnessed an act of buggery.

In a video-recorded interview with the police that was played in the High Court yesterday, she said she had seen the touching of sex organs between the two but did not think that was a problem.

The unmarried 32-year-old mother denies conspiracy with another to commit homosexual buggery on a person under 21 and conspiracy to have her son indecently assaulted.

In the interview, the woman said she enjoyed a good relationship with her son.

Although she did not think the touching of sex organs was a problem, she usually looked for excuses to leave the home of the pedophile as soon as possible because she feared something more serious might take place.

According to a forensic report, there was no injury to the anus of the boy although the examination was carried out nearly a year after his last visit to the home of the pedophile.

However, it did not rule out that an object may have been inserted.

The court was told earlier the alleged abuse occurred at the Sham Tseng home of the pedophile - identified only as "Ah Cat" - on several occasions between April 2011 and July last year.

The woman was also accused of feeding her son sedatives to numb the pain as well as dim his memory so he might not remember what happened to him. STAFF REPORTER TheStandard
