Obama wants UK to back 1967 border

LONDON (Ma'an) -- US President Barack Obama will seek an agreement with the UK that a Palestinian state be based on pre-1967 borders, British media reported Saturday.
The issue will be raised in private talks between Obama and the UK's David Cameron during a state visit by the US president and his wife to London, The Guardian reported.
The aim is, in large part, to persuade the Palestinian leadership not to go to the UN in September seeking symbolic backing for an independent state, the newspaper reported.
