Queer Nation vs Duck Commander
The Patriarch of the USA’s most popular television show quotes scripture and suddenly the homosexual community is fit to be tied. Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson backed his statement up from the Bible in an interview with GQ Magazine, in response to GQ’s question that he define sin.
Phil quoted from 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
The other rant is that he is “equating” bestiality with homosexuality. He wasn’t—he was listing sins with which those who practice habitually will find themselves estranged from heaven. In that list from the Bible are adultery, drunkenness, fornication, and thievery. These are not equated in as such, but categorized by the Bible as behaviors that keep people out of heaven.
So now the gay community and their legaled-up organizations have begun their already familiar attack and tactical response with outcries and threats. They demanded that the network responsible for Duck Dynasty, A&E, drop the show. A&E responded by suspending the “offending” father.

Then comes the flurry from the mainly pro-gay media. So, why is this mainstream media shocked that Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson believes in the teachings of the Bible? The media has been beat into submission by the powerful pro-gay lobby.
A&E producers have tried to mold the popular Robertson family into an image they believe is more palatable to their viewers. They’ve tried to cut out the family prayer at the end, tried to hide the prayer using Jesus’ name, and they’ve added “bleeps” as if covering up cussing from the family. Phil Robertson reveals all that in the following candid interview.

The media summarizes that Phil Robertson made anti-gay statements. In reality, he was making pro-Bible statements. It’s easier for the media to take on one man than the whole work of God.
The band aid has been ripped off and the putrid sore is totally exposed. A line has been drawn in the sand by Phil Robertson, and people are choosing sides. How will Americans respond to this? Upon which side of this flammable issue will Americans fall?
It’s possible that the investment Duck Dynasty has made in its loyal viewers will raise the issue of same-sex marriage to a level of confrontation that hasn’t yet been experienced. We are convinced that Americans have an opportunity to reign in their nation’s march towards social and moral decay. They need to stand up and say, “No more!”
Gays are raising the flag of offense in a rally cry designed to leverage more political clout in order to advance their agenda. They know how to pull favors, they have money; they have a strong machine. Sadly, some very decieved "Christians" are supporting this.
Ready for this? The Bible Does NOT Condemn Homosexuality

You can change every law to fit your behavior but it will not change the fact that the Bible clearly says homosexuality is sin. You can change the Bible and word it any way you want, but you will never be able to reach that place of total acceptance because the author Himself has not changed His word. You can explain the Bible off as myths, fables, and legends. You can build a palace in which to protect your sin, but when you step out the door you will face the Word of God, which makes it clear—homosexuality is sin.”

Nothing will change the consequence for sin. Homosexuality, fornication, adultery and drunkenness are not equal as the media purports, but they result the same—a position of separation from God. Homosexuals, drunkards, fornicators—anyone in sin, wants peace with God. The only way there is through Jesus Christ. The only way there is through Jesus.
We encourage the Christian voice to speak. We have life to offer, and remaining silent serves no one. There are many avenues to respond including petitions, Facebook pages, emails, phone calls, faxes, and even writing a letter and sending it snail mail.
