Report: Iron Dome Shot Down Ashkelon-Bound Rocket

The new Iron Dome anti-missile defense system shot down a Grad rocket launched at Ashkelon early Thursday evening.
The interception followed the shooting of 16 mortars and three Kassam rockets at Israeli targets during the course of the day. It marks the first time the system has succeeded in intercepting and shooting down a rocket launched by terrorists in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
