UN Says PA Ready for State, Israel Must Surrender Land
Israel National News: The office of the United Nations special coordinator for the Middle East said in a report on Tuesday that the Western-backed Palestinian Authority is now largely ready to govern a state in Israel's Judea and Samaria regions.
"In six areas where the UN is most engaged, governmental functions are now sufficient for a functioning government of a state," said the report, which will be submitted to PA donor nations meeting in Brussels on Wednesday. The report also called for a speedy Israeli surrender of Judea and Samaria in order for the PA to make additional progress.
