Why God Hates Homosexuality

We can make this really short. God hates homosexuality because it’s sin and God hates sin.

We know there are no degrees of sin; sin is sin, and sin is separation from God. But, homosexuality, or at least the increased prevalence of it, is a sign of the last days. The world is embroiled in a war to legitimize the sin of homosexuality.

In Jesus’ description of signs of the end times in Matthew 24, He presents Noah as a sign. He says that the coming of the Lord will be a surprise as was the judgment of the flood for those unprepared during the time of Noah:

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.“ Matthew 24:36-39

We find it very interesting that the international symbol of the gay movement is the rainbow—the very sign God used to set a covenant of promise following the flood of Noah. That’s a definite end time connection to what Jesus prophesied, and a flat out and intentional corruption of God’s plan and purpose for mankind.

Satan hates God and God’s creation so his work in humanity, as humanity yields to him, is to corrupt, distort, twist, and make vulgar everything created by God. Keep in mind, Satan is a fallen angel not a god with comparable powers opposing Father God.

God is a father and seeks family fellowship with humans created in His image. He created a family for that. Homosexuality isn’t as important to Satan as much as destroying marriage. Homosexuality is the means to that end. Satan seeks to destroy the family of God; he hates marriage, and works to take families down, minimizing the value and purity of marriage and family.

The marriage ceremony and act between a groom and the bride demonstrate the family of God, and specifically the relationship of Christ and the church. The sexual act between a husband and wife is symbolic of the intimacy between Christ and his bride the church. That sex act produces offspring created in the image of the parents, which is representative of Father God creating humans, male and female, in His image. This fulfills the commandment in the Garden of Eden to be fruitful and multiply. Homosexuality perverts that. This commandment to Adam and Eve was the original plan to take back the earth by increasing His kingdom here through the propagation of humans in covenant with Him. Be fruitful, multiply, replenish and subdue was the instruction. Satan usurped that.

There is an altar of fellowship that only a husband and wife can fulfill. They join as one flesh and enter into a blood covenant through the sexual act with the shedding of blood. This is a sign of the covenant of God reaffirmed as only as a husband and wife can do. It’s impossible for a homosexual relationship to enter into covenant.

Homosexuality is a perfect way to stop God’s creation from replenishing the earth. It’s also a perfect way to despise God. It minimizes the value of marriage and holiness of an institution God ordained. Cohabitation was thought to be a despiser of God’s sanctity of marriage but now Homosexuality ratchets despise to a higher level. Now heterosexuals fall into despising marriage by living together without legal ceremony and homosexuals despise it by marrying. Marriage is attacked completely. It’s a great plan by the enemy.

No matter how the enemy works through God’s creation to destroy His work, God remains forgiving and accepting and waiting for His creation to turn back to Him. That is love—the love of God.

The Supreme Court’s decision on gay marriage is at hand. How the court decides to interpret the constitution is one thing, but how it treats marriage, God’s holy institution, His covenant with humanity will determine the course for the United States in these end times. This is serious stuff.
